As an avid 4 handicap, I was thrilled to learn I would be leading a team to update the design experience for the TW team and their new app for the Full Swing golf simulator.

HIGHLIGHTS

Led design for the Tiger Woods team's simulator app; UI used at TGL.
Reimagined shot dispersion and heat maps into glanceable data viz.
Worked within a Unity / Objective-C stack.

PRODUCT DECISIONS

Insight over information.: Not dashboards, a digital golf coach. Framed the UI around recurring practice questions, with “insight-per-session” as the north star.
Narrowed scope by golf use case: warm-up, technical practice, post-round review. Opinionated defaults over customization for v1.
A retention loop spanning physical and digital: range session, launch-monitor data, annotate, then a post-session digest with deltas and drills.
The “1-second rule” for glanceability.: If a golfer couldn't read the screen instantly, it got cut or redesigned. “UX latency equals user dropout.”
Platform tradeoffs around the Unity and Objective-C stack: fewer transitions, lightweight animations, static layouts, and a clean design-to-engineering handoff.
